Something a little different this time. Armani Privé. This week has just been busy, and I was fortunate enough to come across two standout pieces from the runway. The Armani Privé 2015 spring couture collection is undeniably inspired by the orient. With strong Asian influences, bamboo sprint and india-ink strokes are rife among both the gowns and suits. Some of the thick-spun blazers are a little too plain for me, but the rest of the collection makes that concern moot, featuring beautiful constructions---obi belts, gaza jackets, organza stoles and overlays.
The stuff of empresses. Stunning antique white gown with a charcoal tuile overlay. Notice the fine Swarovski application on the bust. This exudes royalty as much as any other gown.
Intelligently paired with black-rope curtain earrings, behold the Swarovski tubes and elaborate Prussian blue needlework on this black (with deep blue hues?) jumpsuit.
